Mentoring Programs

MyConsultingCoach Springboard mentoring program has been designed for those who want to walk out of the interview room without regrets. A comprehensive, A to Z package that leaves nothing off the checklist. Why is the Springboard just another level?

Why mentoring is the absolute best

1. A Mentor

You will be assigned a Mentor, a very experienced consultant, who will assist you throughout your preparation. They will assess you at the beginning of the program to build a truly tailored preparation roadmap, provide actionable advice on how to tackle your weaknesses and ensure that you achieve your full potential before your interview. You will not practice case interviews with your Mentor but will do so with our coaches. A Mentor’s main task is to keep bird’s eye view on your preparation to provide actionable, detailed advice when necessary. They will do so through calls and emails, effectively increasing your one to one time. We do not charge for mentoring sessions; our Mentoring program goes beyond time and material.

2. The resources you need to shine

You will join the MCC Academy course; rather than some stale frameworks or tricks to pass the case interview, we will teach you the problem solving and business skills to craft original and effective solutions to cases, which is what your interviewer is looking for. We will also make all our other resources available for you to cover all aspects of the application, from writing your CV to networking.

3. The coaching sessions you need

The packages include one to one coaching sessions with our 20+ experienced coaches, all with at least 3 years of experience in either McKinsey, Bain or BCG and a minimum of 50 candidates coached. Sessions last longer than 1 hour to allow for more fit questions and an in-depth, interactive feedback session. You can choose to work with multiple coaches over the 10 sessions; we will provide with a calendar indicating coaches availability and you can book slots at your convenience.

4. Peace of mind

We know how stressful it is to prepare for a consulting interview: googling resources, asking that friend who worked at McKinsey, reading endless forum threads with conflicting information. This usually results in an unstructured, inefficient preparation that absorbs a lot of resources without leading anywhere. Our Mentors will develop a tailored study plan based on a rigorous assessment of your skills and provide you with all the material you need for an effective and efficient preparation. Besides your Mentor, you will also be assigned one of our Sales Associates who will be available to provide any assistance you may need. You will only need to focus on getting ready for your interview, we will take care of everything else.

What our customers say

MyConsultingCoach Springboard was really amazing. From the moment I signed up, the team took care of everything for me, from advice on how to network to refining my preparation for my second round interview. I thought it would be impossible for me to get into an MBB but I finally landed a job at Bain! Thanks MyConsultingCoach.

I was a bit hesitant to sign up for the Springboard program; I had already spent a lot for my MBA and I wasn’t working. I finally decided to give it a go: best investment of my life. Not only I was able to land an offer at McKinsey, but I also learnt skills that will be useful throughout my professional career. What I liked most about MyConsultingCoach is the focus on teaching business, rather than some frameworks to trick interviewers (which doesn’t happen).

Coming from a technical background, I had no business experience before signing up for the Booster program. I am glad I did, it saved me a very expensive MBA! I learnt all the business concepts and skills I needed for a consulting interview and I landed the job I wanted at Bain! I felt that all the coaches I worked with and my Mentor had a genuine interest in my preparation. Definitely a great program.

Who is going to be my Mentor?

Your Mentor is going to be an expert (ex-)consultant, usually from your top target firm. Feel free to email us! to receive a list of available mentors and arrange a preliminary call free of charge. All our mentors are:

  • Experienced coaches: not only they all have extensive training experience (at least 100 case interviews), but they supported tens on candidates throughout their preparation with end-to-end programmes
  • Experienced consultants: they all gained at least 2 years of work experience in MBB (McKinsey, Bain, BCG)
  • Top performers in their firms: they all achieved a promotion to the next level in the organization (e.g. BA to Associate) - We don't have failed 6-months interns
Where are your coaches from? Should I consider getting a coach from my country?

Most of our Coaches are currently based in London and New York, but they come from various countries and worked in offices all over the world.

Cultural differences tend to be more firm-based than geography-based. All consulting firms are truly global: on day 2 you may be sent to a project on the other side of the world. This is why they work hard to standardize their recruiting methods on a global scale. Therefore our advice will equally valuable whether you’re in Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia or the U.S.
